7th Eurasian Stars International Music Festival: Complete Soloist Line-Up Announced
Poised to make a mark on the global classical music stage, the complete list of distinguished maestros set to grace the VI Eurasian Stars International Music Festival has been revealed! One of the most highly anticipated classical music events in Central Asia, Eurasian Stars Music Festival will take place from 22 September to 3 October, 2025 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, featuring a rich programme of traditional and contemporary classical works presented by a stellar roster of soloists, conductors and the illustrious National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan.
Aside from previously announced soloists Mikhail Pletnev, Behzod Abduraimov and Daniel Lozakovich, more of the outstanding artists gracing this year’s edition have been announced. These virtuosos include:
Maxim Vengerov: Eminent Monegasque violinist Maxim Vengerov is globally recognised as one of the greatest living string players thanks to his emotional range and extensive repertoire. Boasting an outstanding career spanning decades of triumphs, he performs throughout the world with the most prestigious orchestras, collecting accolades and awards along the way, including a Grammy for his recording of the Britten Concerto in 2004 and an Edison for his solo recording in 2003, as well as a Gramophone Award in 1996.
Sergey Krylov: Expressive violinist Sergey Krylov has secured a place amongst the world’s top leading performers. As Music Director of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, he often serves as both a soloist and conductor, showcasing a vast repertoire that ranges from Baroque to contemporary music. Krylov has performed globally with major orchestras and conductors such as the London Philharmonic, Philharmonia Orchestra, the DSO Berlin, Filarmonica della Scala, Belgian National Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic, etc. He has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Vasily Petrenko, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Marin Alsop, and Nikolaj Znaider, to name a few.
Stanislav Ioudenitch: Winner of the Gold Medal at the 2001 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Stanislav Ioudenitch is lauded for his intellectual depth and technical brilliance and regarded as one of the most distinguished pianists of his generation. He has performed at esteemed stages all around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Centre, Gasteig, Moscow’s Great Conservatory Hall, the Mariinsky Theatre and Forbidden City Concert Hall, with leading orchestras such as the Munich Philharmonic, the Mariinsky Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Rochester Philharmonic, etc.
Alexander Chaushian: Recognised as one of the foremost cellists of his generation, Alexander Chaushian has performed in prestigious venues worldwide with solo concerts alongside revered orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Wiener Kammerorchester. His numerous accolades include being a laureate of esteemed competitions, such as the International Tchaikovsky Competition, and serving as the artistic director of the International Pharos Chamber Music Festival in Cyprus and the Yerevan International Music Festival in Armenia.
Yekwon Sunwoo: A laureate at numerous competitions, pianist Yekwon Sunwoo is the first Korean to win the gold medal at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. He has also won many other first prizes at prestigious events such as the Florida International Piano Competition, the Interlaken Classics festival and the William Kapell International Piano Competition. Praised for “his total command over the instrument and its expressiveness” by the San Francisco Examiner, he has performed at numerous festivals and major venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Salle Cortot and Hamarikyu Asahi Hall.
Marc Bouchkov: One of the most sophisticated and remarkable artists of today, Marc Bouchkov's many accolades include a gold medal at the Montreal International Musical Competition and a silver medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition. His orchestral appearances included performances with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, and the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach, Valery Gergiev, Philippe Jordan, Lorenzo Viotti, Andrey Boreyko, Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider, Lionel Bringuier, Maxim Vengerov, and James Judd, among many others.
